ORIGINAL GENUINE AVIREX B3 LEATHER BOMBER FLIGHT JACKET. FULL SHEEPSKIN LINING. SIZE: 40" CHEST. COLOR: ANTIQUE BROWN. MODEL- AC17755. PROUDLY MADE IN THE USA! This is a GENUINE Avirex Garment. Military apparel formerly sold under the Avirex! brand is now sold under The CockpitŸ brand The Manufactures tags have been removed but they will be included with the jacket. I have only worn this jacket once. So it is basically brand new. This garment is is PERFECT Showroom condition with no faults. Current Retail Price for this jacket is US$990. = AUS$1141. Favored by bomber crews during WWll, the B-3 was brought into service around 1934. Made specifically for open cockpit and high altitude flying, the B-3 did its job admirably. Using American Shearling, Cockpits B-3 jacket has leather welted seams, a heavy duty front zipper over a wind flap, custom authentic metal buckles and non-standard comfortable, and side entry hand warmer pockets first added by the company in 1978. Manufactured following the 1938 Irvin Airchute Co. pattern, this jacket was a hero of the Battle of Britain. English fighter pilots wore this superb garment while fighting off Nazi bombers over London in their Spitfire fighters. Th! is had to be a warm but yet free moving garment to let pilots ! and aircrew perform their duties in the confined space of their aircraft. It uses hand cut supple sheepskin pelts. Original details include leather welting on seams, leather belt closures underarm grommets, an inside canvas equipment pouch and a full front zipper over storm flap. Hand warmer side entry pockets are a modern convenience that we have added to complete the jacket
